07:02 a.m.

Swim started. Dover is very wet (and foggy too).

Lorraine's gonna need loads of support - text (07980 XXX XXX) your messages and we'll write them on the board for her - jokes, anything to keep her going.

10:30 a.m.

3 1/2 hours in and she's doing great! Travelled 6 miles so far.

Pilot very impressed, as Lorraine is gaining on two swimmers in front.

Wheather better, feeding going well. She is in good spirits.

Jelly fish are big.

12:15 p.m.

Half way across Lorraine's legs pack up in the cold - In her own words:

I failed :-( got really really cold, they think it was my feed and I blame the severe lack of sunshine :-( never again"
